Hey, I’m Travis.

I’m a marketing communications strategist.
And a gamer. And I’d like to help you.

I fell in love with tabletop games when I was ten years old.

I'm the type that prints off player aids from BoardGameGeek and paints my minis. To this day, my social time with friends is usually spent conquering ancient Egypt, delving through dungeons, or completing patchwork quilts. I know the games to play with seniors or kids and the best entry points in the hobby to convert the hesitant or disinterested. I spend my free time consuming board game media. From major reviews to the blandest of unboxing videos – I love it all.

I began working in games after moving from Canada to the UK in 2018. I managed marketing and PR for a growing board game publisher. From crowdfunding campaigns to social media and international conventions, I raised sales and awareness of our games by getting consumers and influencers excited and engaged with our products.

I secured impressive influencer and press coverage, including a cover story feature in Tabletop Gaming Magazine for a game that had yet to even hit crowdfunding, and a Dice Tower 'game of the year' review. Here I am talking to Rodney Smith at SPIEL if you’d like to hear my Canadian accent or learn more about Paolo Mori’s fantastic Blitzkrieg! game.

I was also the studio manager and built and oversaw a team that ran the day-to-day creative and operational side of the business as we developed new board game titles and brought them to market.

In Gundalow Games, I’m using twenty years of experience in sales and marketing to help games reach their full potential. I’m inspired by makers and creators like you and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead to help you thrive.

That’s my turn. If you’re ready to get started and take yours, book a free no obligation call today. I’d love to get to know you.

At the core, I’m a professional communicator. To me, that means being a strategist, a planner, a writer, and an advisor; a manager of processes, people, and reputations.

Whether you need to pitch your game to media and influencers, advice on how to handle negative feedback during your campaign, or need someone to run a convention booth for you in the UK & Europe, I’ve got you covered.

  • I backed my first Kickstarter campaign in 2012. It was a successful drive to fund a new Rose Cousins record and accompanying short film. Rose reached out to directly thank me (and the other 450 backers) for the support, and I’ve been hooked on crowdfunding ever since (and have the Superbacker badge and a shelf full of games to show for it). Professionally, I’m crowdfunding platform agnostic and can help you choose the best space to bring your game and its campaign.

  • As an experienced professional marketing communicator, I’m passionate about understanding an audience, serving them with the right content at the right time, and staying focused on measurable results. I started out in ad agencies managing large integrated marketing campaigns involving tv, radio, and online ads before transitioning into public relations roles within the public sector where I handled institutional crises that made national headlines. I’ve seen it all. Take a peek at my LinkedIn profile for more details.

We live and breathe games, and have immense respect for the creators, makers, and dreamers that bring them to our tables.
